Album of The Week

Positive Force by Delicate Steve

Release Date: July 10th

I hear a lot of music that I like. A lot of stuff catches my ear, and I’m like “Hey, I really like this; Great album.” But few albums nearly drive me to tears. “Positive Force” by Delicate Steve is one of those albums. It a fully instrumental album, placed in the genre of ROCK. It isn’t hard rock, butĀ graceful rock that makes you swoon. The powerful guitar rifts seduce your ears and makes you fall in love over and over again with the whole album. This is the first time I have heard from the artist, Delicate Steve, and I am VERY PLEASED. If I had to compare the sound so something (Which I have said before, I haven’t fully developed my RIYL- generating skills yet) I would say like Ratatat, but less of a hip-hop influence. They are currently touring and opening with a few of my fav bands, such as Grizzly Bear, Dr.Dog, Yeasayer, tUnE- yArDs and Givers, so that also gives you an idea of who they can hang with.

My creepy review doesn’t do it justice though, you will just have to listen for yourself. I try to pick only my FAVFAVFAVORITE albums to review on here, and as per usual, I reccommend just about every track on this album. But like a parent with their children, you always have your favorites.. on this album my favs are: Tallest Heights, Ramona Reborn, Afria Talks To You and Two Lovers. Not much of the new album is on the interwebs yet, so you will just have to take my word, do some snooping around, or wait for July 10th to roll around. No matter what, this is one of my top picks, and all y’all should def check it out!
