ALBUM OF THE WEEK

Traps by Jaill

WHOA! I am absolutely in love with this album on SO MANY levels. First of all, prior to me receiving this album, I had never heard of Jaill, a garage band from Minneapolis. The first thing that attracted me to it was seeing that it was from Sub Pop, cause let’s get real… I am a sucker for almost anything from Sub Pop. The next thing was the creepy/awesome album work. The third thing that absolutely locked me in on it was… you guessed it.. LISTENING TO IT!!! I am in love, I can honestly recommend every song on this album. I am never too good at comparing bands to other bands, but if I had to, I’d say they are like The Black Lips but more upbeat and less cynical (not hating on the Lips there, JUST SAYING). If I had to direct you to some specific tracks, I would tell you to listen to House With Haunting, Wasting A Lot of Things, While You Reload and Perfect Ten. But honestly, check out every track. I have been saying this a lot lately, but this is perfect for a beautiful summer day..

That’s all for now, stay tuned for more of the latest and greatest we have here at WRKC
