What can we say? We’re winners. The Society for Professional Journalists granted us the Mark of Excellence award for Best All-Around Newscast for The News at 5 and Matt Mezzacapo won for his story “Take Back the Night” in the field of Radio News Reporting. Contests are a testament to our students’ devotion to the art of writing and reporting. SPJ contests feature a slew of esteemed colleges and universities in Region One and we snagged two awards. A little validation goes a long way!
