Welcome back Monarchs. This is our first newscast of 2017, and it is a packed one. Today’s newscast features stories about the inauguration of President Trump and the women’s protest afterwards, the King’s celebration of Martin Luther King, a returning military personnel to King’s, the winter break in sports, and a Music Monday!

In the last 2016 WRKC Newscast, we feature the following stories: A local food pantry, the recent dance class recital performances, the threat of a government shutdown, sports, and student exams on a famous Christmas story. Yes, we saved a good one for last this calendar year!

Today’s newscast features a story about the King’s teams Christmas caroling event last night, the release of this semester’s SCOP, King’s literary magazine, and a story of a student that wrote and published books. This also features the Business Beat, sports, and the weather for the next 48 hours.

It’s beginning to look a lot  like Christmas here at King’s. Today’s newscast suggests this.
