King’s College Theatre Department celebrates Shakespeare Anniversary

King’s College wouldn’t quite be itself without it’s incredible theater department, which consists of numerous students and staff members who work their absolute hardest on stage and behind the scenes to bring about some of the best theatre performances one could attend. Every year, the department has a beautiful Shakespeare play to commemorate the brilliant playwright. This year, the campus is already celebrating their 65th anniversary of their renditions of Shakespeare’s greatest works. WRKC’s Greg Adams has the story.

The Week of The Young Child

Bishop 1

Danny Thomas, Founder of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital once said “No man stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child”. Bishop Joseph Bambera, Bishop of The Diocese of Scranton took these words to heart by visiting the Wilkes Barre Catholic Youth Center.  He met with children and staff of their daycare program to spread words of joy and peace, and even read a book to preschoolers who were part of the program. WRKC’s Program Director Eryn Harvey has more on the humble Bishop’s heartwarming story.
