Fat Possum records just dropped an awesome album by artist Melody Prochet, who records under the name of “Melody’s Echo Chamber”. This self-titled album is a psychedelic product of the French, multi-instrumental singer songwriter. With the help of Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Melody recorded her first album while being inspired by Parker’s free spirit. They recorded in his home studio and she said that it was an educational & exploratory experience. All of this aside, I am a huge fan of Tame Impala, so as soon that I read about this, I was instantly intrigued.<\/p>\n
If you are familiar with Tame, you can instantly recognize it’s vibes on this record. It features music produced and recorded by Tame Impala and it is listed that this album is RIYL: Beach House and Broadcast, which I can agree upon. Another one that came to mind when I was listening, big time, was Blonde Redhead. So if you are into psychedelic, strung out dream pop\/rock… you will love this! Melody will be going out on a national tour late 2012, early 2013, so make sure to keep an eye out for her!<\/p>\n
My favorite tracks off this album are “I Follow You”, “You Won’t Be Missing That Part of Me”, “Mount Hopeless” and “Snowcapped Andes Crash”. The album was officially released on September 25th, so make sure to check it out for yourself!<\/p>\n
